Yes Madam !

A lady is all determined to set up an all woman IIT. “Madam, will you please explain, why to quarantine women? What’s the need for it? ” I read few days back how poised and passionate you are regarding this issue. I suppose Madam, for the second phase, you may be planning to set up an all woman industry for their employment? Now I have a better suggestion for the potheads at Raisina Hill, why not dissolve all 28 existing states and make two giant gender based province: one for men and one for women, and let the union teritories serve as a buffer zone where men and woman can meet and mate (Liberated friends please be patience, let the straights get fixed first). This seems justified! Right madam?

In India women are second citizen, under privilege, deprived …. All the more reason to be a part of co-ed institutions. If Govt honestly desire to bring woman in main stream and at par with men, then all woman IIT is absolute anti- agenda. Secure them to reach the target don’t bring the target to them. Help them don’t handicap them. I am sure there are better and positive ways for woman upliftment: Reserve few seats for rural women; give scholarship to economically unstable one ….like that.

You are die-hard feminist, obsessed for WIT oops! “IIT for woman”. If that is justified then why not have an exclusive IIT for reserved category. Why kick them out of IIT for poor academic performance? Why not an all-reserved IIT?

shallow fellow!

Is anything like ” honesty”, “loyalty” exist in a/ny relationship. Why does a man lie to a woman for trivial-est thing. Why dont he just keep shut in a situation he is inefficient to handle. why are they oxymoron. why is it so?

S-O-S!

30

This digit upsets me. Come 11 next month and I will be officially 30. Unlike my previous birthdays I am not at all intrigued about it. I am not looking forward to it. Anyway, today I am not going to fret about my “fear of 30 “psychology. Approaching birthday reminds me of the theory my better half advocates. He says “ Hindus don’t celebrates birthday, It is a modern days fashion“. Now wait, don’t judge him as a fundamentalist or a radical, he is liberal, very liberal infact. When I was young and as far as my memory goes, I remember every birthday in my house was and is celebrated. Feasting with friends and family (F&F) is something I always admire and long for. In my opinion, an ideal birthday bash is when the host are the people who come together to acknowledge how much they value us. Someone once said “….. I had not done something great that people should celebrate my birthday”. To such rude gentry I have something to say “firstly the city council is not arranging for a fanfare for your D day. Secondly if your F&F wishes to express that they are happy to have you in their lives and for that cause they have zeroed on your birth date, what’s the big deal in it”

On the hind side of it, I have known people who are overtly expressive about their birthday; you can count those corrupt politicians, apart from “Daan and dakshina” they will spend million of rupees on wining and dining. Now that is a hoopla, absolute trash and cheap.

Between these two extremes “NONE and OVERT” lies something genuine. Buddha said “follow the mid way “i.e. the genuine way.

Coming back to the original Q – how can someone as smart, enlightened, learned ,….and liberal as my love can mingle a small celebration to something as serious as religion.

Will you pl. comment on that?

smoking or no smoking !

Why this debate? Don’t movies rule our life? Can any Indian claim that he never ever get tempted from a movie. The list is far and wide- from dress to accessories, the moment we think of purchasing a belts, cap, footwear, bag, sari, bangles, danglers, anything the 1st image that flash in our imagination is of a movie star. Doesn’t u confess that if I ask you to imagine a “hip and fashionable” man in sporty attire majority of us ends up imagining SRK and if I say- in a tuxedo it will be AB senior. As a matter of fact hardly will anyone imagine Bhaichung Bhutia or Sachin pilot. Any movie star can easily knock them down. In Indian sociology movie translates to fashion and trend.

No matter how much our movie stars fret about Mr. Ramadoss gospel -“ban ban & ban” none can deny that the people of this nation look up to them. Don’t we all know, why the marketing pundits try to rope in a movie star as its brand ambassador?

As Mr Bachchan said “We are enacting the character….” He is right. Movie making is a creative business and it’s not good to mingle with it.

So what’s the solution?

I have an answer!

Mr. Ramadoss, Instead of banning, be brave and order the censor board to categorize them. Any movie that glorifies smoking and drinking must be certified “A”, for adults only. Cheers!

And Producers! Beware of the “A” status that looms over your film- business.
