I received a stark comment for my post “KANK- Falling in love !“ from someone who is very critical about me. His point was – “why am I discerning about KANK. Why out of scores of Hindi films made annually I strip KANK?” That rocked few cells in my Gray matter. Isn’t it true that 100 % of Hindi commercial films are either a replica or a cocktail of other non-Hindi films? Then why I choose KANK….. ?

Probably coz, every time when Yeshraj or Dharma production announces a new film there is a huge amount of speculation about it in media. These bigwigs of Hindi cinema hire brokers grrrrrrrrrrr marketing experts, and they in return do their job brilliantly. mind it, it is their planning and strategies that makes whooping profit, not the film.

See the point is, when Bhatt’s releases a film the very next day the media pit against it – “it’s a remake of xyz Hollywood films.” But when KANK rolled out its red carpet for the reviewer and critic, none of them reported this Plagiarism the following days. Rather they added more intriguing substance to it and mislead the stray youth of this nation saying “ oh it reminds of -silsila.”

For me personally, it’s an abuse for a film like Silsila to stand parallel to KANK”. Silsila in every way is a classic.

Why was media, irrespective of medium unanimously behaved like a sycophant. What happened to the sniffing ability of media-dogs then? Why were they lopsided? Pen may be mightier than sword, but it is impotent to greed.

As said- “ There is no BUSINESS like SHOW BUSINESS”

and i realised its not Karan or KANK, its the murky media and so called dirty critics who cheat on us !

Few days back I watched Robert Di Niro and Meryl Streep starred movie named “Falling in love” Is K Jo listening? I mean, is Karan listening? CHORI CHORI CHUPKE CHUPKE!

Don’t shy, not your fault, Bollywood me sab karte hai and you are no genius. I am here to help you, I have a business mantra and you can make film annually. May be twice a year, if your buddy and godfather HH SRK is available. But Karan you are very bad in anglicized Hindi. Remember it took you 3- 4 years to translate OOPS! write the script of “ KANK”.

You might be knowing, Hollywood is very generous, most of their script are available online… free of charge. And you know how to download them. I know you know, sunny boy!

while doctoring the script use “control + H “ key. After all, all you have to do is to change and swap names!

You are modest, but your godfather and the mother of the triplet to whom you are godfather are a big mouth. Advice them not to indulge so much in self praise, next time when they are on your show. It’s not good for your reputation.

Don’t sulk Karan, I like your films. I am fond of the sets, the locations,the costume, the fashion and the hindustani tadka in your film. Keep downloading!

Three cheers for Karan, hip hip ….

I once read in an interview about the film named” it’s a wonderful life “. Last weekend I had the opportunity to watch this movie. Thanks to Google video for that. The film is like watching poetry. The salient fact about this feature film is the simplicity with which the movie progresses, there is no larger than life heroic deed. It was made in late forties, but it’s eternal and worth to be labeled CLASSIC. The protagonist George, is a compassionate man. When the film wraps it up, I felt that I knew George, or at least acquainted to him. We all know George. He is very common.

I was happy the whole weekend, I thanked God for bestowing this human life to my soul. I realised that I am someone and everybody around has an existence, has a purpose. We take things for granted but hardly have we known that in some obscure way we cushion so many lives.

So, dear friends the moral of the story is “you, me and we all are some one. Feel good about yourself. And celebrate this celebration called LIFE”
